Common sense for some reason is something we often leave behind in our health/diet world and I strongly believe that it needs to be applied.
You are what you eat, literally. The type of food you ingest can alter not just how effectively/efficiently your body operates it can also alter your mood, personality, what kind of mate you're attracted to, in summation - all of "you." I will be posting scientific studies and articles that expand on this topic.
Healthy eating and sustainability are two equal passions in my world like many but what is also a requirement is - yummy - decadent - fresh - I am in heaven - I want more it's so damn good - flavor. Also I am not a trend bunny that chooses to not eat food just because its the fad. I like to do my research and often discover that current health trends are not as healthy as people think and sometimes downright unhealthy.
Let me start with a couple big ones, your body needs sugar, fat and (unless you have celiac disease or some other serious health issue) gluten. It is the quality, type and portion that matter. And, everyone's health/dietary needs are slightly different. So while sweet potatoes may be generally very healthy they may make some of you feel amazing, some neutral and some even a little cruddy to cranky. We put in so much time, study and energy into building our career skills yet little into the basics of just getting to know what works best for our own bodies. No wonder depression and disease is on the rise.
With all that said I am going to start sharing with you wonderful flavorful food and drink that not only taste delicious but have spectacular and numerous health benefits.
